The June 6, 2020 Trail Classic has all the elements of a great trail race:
Enjoy a full trail-running experience at the Wissahickon Trail Classic!
The 10k Trail-Race Course:
The race starts at 8:30 AM (please leave yourself extra time for parking!)
The 10k course will be the same as in recent years. Runners will start on Forbidden Trail (gravel) alongside the Wissahickon Creek before they head into the woods on a single-track trail.
After first exploring the upper trails on the West side of the creek, runners drop down and cross to the East side of the park before returning via a covered bridge to the Forbidden Drive to endure one final hill before heading for the finish.
The 10k (6.11 mi) course will be well-marked and with WATER STOPS at regular intervals.
5k Nature Hike:
The Guided Nature Hike starts at 8:45 AM
There will be a Guided Nature hike that starts fifteen minutes after the 10k Trail Race. Headed by Steve Jones from WRV. Learn more about the hike.
Shirt/Prizes/…
T-shirts will be available for all pre-registered participants. Race prizes will be awarded to top male and female runners, and top finishers in each age group. Refreshments will be available after the race. Register now »

All for a great cause…
It is fitting that the trail classic benefits the not-for-profit Wissahickon Restoration Volunteers organization.
The WRV works tirelessly throughout the year to improve the Wissahickon habitat by removing invasive species and planting trees and shrubs. Every dollar raised at the trail classic helps this worthy organization and benefits our park.
Please consider making a donation upon registering for this great event. Learn more about WRV.
